Terms of Service

Last Updated: July 19, 2026

1. The Introductory Model (Exemption from CQC Regulation)

GetCarer is a care introduction platform operated by Globalline Logistics Ltd.

  • No Care Management: GetCarer does not employ, manage, direct, or assign duties to the carers listed on the platform. We are not a home care agency and are not regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
  • Independent Contractors: All carers are independent, self-employed contractors. The client is solely responsible for directing, supervising, and managing the carer's work.
  • Taxes: Carers are solely responsible for declaring and paying their own income tax and National Insurance contributions directly to HMRC.

2. Exclusivity of Communication & Booking (Anti-Leakage Policy)

To protect user safety and prevent fee evasion:

  • On-Platform Communication: All messages, voice calls, and agreements must take place exclusively through the GetCarer in-app chat and WebRTC calling tools. Exchanging phone numbers, emails, social media handles, or addresses before a booking is confirmed is strictly prohibited.
  • On-Platform Payments: All payments must be processed securely through the GetCarer booking platform (via Stripe). Exchanging cash, cheques, or arranging direct bank transfers outside the platform is a breach of these Terms.
  • Penalties: Any attempt to bypass the platform's booking or payment system will result in the immediate and permanent suspension of both the client's and the carer's accounts.

3. Automatic Communication Lockout

  • Booking-Gated Access: Clients and carers can only message or call each other if they have a pending, confirmed, or active booking.
  • Immediate Termination of Access: The moment a carer signs off from a shift, or a booking task is marked as "Completed" or "Cancelled," all communication channels (chat history inputs and voice call tokens) are instantly and permanently locked. You will not be able to contact the other party again unless a new booking is initiated.

4. Vetting & DBS Disclaimers

  • Admin Audits: GetCarer performs reasonable verification checks on carers, including verifying their identity documents, right to work status, and checking their Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) reference numbers.
  • Client Verification Responsibility: Vetting is performed as of the date of the carer's registration. Clients are encouraged to review the carer's credentials, references, and conduct their own interviews before confirming a booking.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law:

  • GetCarer is not liable for any losses, damages, injury, or death arising from the actions, omissions, negligence, or misconduct of any carer introduced through the platform.
  • GetCarer is not responsible for any issues resulting from delayed in-app notifications, network downtime, or system errors during WebRTC calls.
